The Bubishi ("The Bible of Karate" - see Patrick McCarthy's newest translation) has Bladder as the time of the Monkey, 3-5pm (just before Kidney time, 5-7pm, on the meridian clock). The hara diagnostic area, which can be seen in the previous post (below), is in the area of the bladder. Masunaga lists Bladder associations (see Zen Shiatsu) under kyo (empty) and jitsu (full): Psychological associations when kyo (empty, as in weak or deficient): "Strained nerves, stiffness and sensitivity in the body; complaining all the time; easily frightened, night sweating, anxiety." And physical associations when kyo: "Nasal congestion; heaviness and pain in the eyes; migraine headache on back of head; malfunctioning of the autonomic nervous system, oversensitivity; poor circulation especially in hara and legs...
