I have already posted on pulse diagnosis, which I will continue to add to as we cover the pulse definitions in class.  Although we covered tongue first, it had not occurred to me that I should put down the basics here.  Plus, people have since asked about references.  Now we have introduced two of the great methods of diagnosis in Chinese medicine.  Considering the four pillars of diagnosis, we have introduced the main of two of the pillars - pulse being (in many versions) the primary intake of palpation, and tongue being a primary intake of visual diagnosis.
