Extra shares will be available for CSW members at an early-bird discounted price. Additionally, surplus will be available for sale as a CSW promotion and to raise funds for infrastructure, tools, and seeds.
This early CSW weekend, April 13th/14th through 15th, will also serve as an orientation for CSW work-exchange members to learn about the camp, farming, and wildcrafting locations of the CSW. Therefore, work-exchange participants are highly encouraged to participate in this orientation.
April 15th is also the due date for CSW member dues.
Extra October Weekend - October 7th
An additional weekend including discounted shares for members and plenty of herbs for sale will be held October 5th through 7th. This weekend is available for work-exchangers who can't make all their earlier work-exchange dates. It will serve as a fund-raiser to help provide funds for seeds for next year. Many medicinal herb seeds are planted in the fall, late winter, or early spring and this extra CSW(A) weekend will help support the farmers we are working with to expand their medicinal herb

Get your share of each month’s Community Supported Wildcrafting harvest, primarily of wild herbs from the Delaware River valley and surrounding countryside, including naturally cultivated medicinal herbs - all freshly harvested and ready for medicine-making and home drying. CSW workers will be providing these wildcrafted and naturally cultivated herbs just after harvest on a set Sunday each month, delivered for pick-up at ArborVitae School of Traditional Herbalism and a location in Brooklyn. Generous portions, and more limited portions according to availability, of a variety of herbs will be offered each month for the CSW shares; and surplus offered for sale.
Work-exchangers are expected at the April Work-Exchange Orientation & Early Bird CSW in order to learn how to help on CSW weekends and to harvest for the April fund-raising sale and share.

ArborVitae drop-offs will be on the above-mentioned Sundays from 3:00 to 4:30. We are unable to leave shares on location outside of these times. Brooklyn members will be polled upon inquiry and sign-up regarding preferred locations for a Brooklyn drop-off, according to spaces that become available (in discussions now regarding this) and preferences of members and serious potential members, a Brooklyn space is planned for arrangement by April 15th, the CSW membership fee due date.
CSW camp is in Glen Spey, NY (see my schedule page for map). Work-exchangers who don't want to camp are encouraged to book with an AirB&B in Pond Eddy, NY or in another nearby location. (Eagle Watch is reserved for CSW weekends.)
Work-exchangers and others coming for work / learning experience should bring their own tools: knife, hori-hori, shears, folding saw, spading fork (and/or shovel or other digging tools if possible). Some transportation will be provided from train and bus stations serving Port Jervis, NY and other nearby locations. Participants should expect to set up their own camp at the CSW camp or to arrange for their own alternate accommodations.
